ADVから発売された「あずまんが大王」（アニメ版）北米バージョンについて

主に日本版との違いのまとめを少しずつ体裁を整えながら作成して行きたいと思います。

オープニング　エンディング　呼称

オープニング

まずはOPかな？日本版のそれに字幕がつけられてます。奇数話には翻訳済みの英語字幕、偶数話には歌詞をそのままローマ字表記したものを用意してます。英訳については投稿サイトのものを以前紹介しましたが、もちろんそれとは結構違ってます。商品ですしね。

「ピアノは世界の夢咲く野原にメロディー」とか「思い出林檎に目覚めの少女がキスして」とかの日本語でもわけわかなフレーズの訳でだいぶ差が出てますね。「空耳」の解釈はどっちがいいのやら・・・

あと「A」と「The」の使い分けも二者で異なってますがどっちが正しいのやら。

エンディング

こっちは北米DVD版の方が的確な気がすると言うか相手がしょもいというか。「逢いに来て」がちゃんと「come see me」になっているのはもちろん、「心」には「soul」、「胸」には「heart」と訳を使い分けているところとかちゃんとしてるのではと思います。

「〜chan」は専らちよに対してのみ使われるような感じですね。
５話でともが「よみちゃんサイコー」って言ってるシーンがありますが吹き替えでは単に「Yomi」でした。
